How do I get my meat?

After harvest, your order will be available for pickup at Rucker Farm in Flint Hill. Expect to receive 6-8 boxes that will fit in any normal size vehicle.

How big of a Freezer do I need for a Half Cow?

  1. Chest Freezers: A minimum of 10 cubic feet (ft³). This offers enough space for a 1/2 Cow plus a few extras like veggies and ice cream.
  2. Upright Freezers: Aim for 14-16 cubic feet (ft³). Shelves take up space, so the extra room helps.
  3. Fridge/Freezer combos: Tight fit for a 1/2 Cow. Consider adding a small chest freezer as backup.

What does it cost?

Cows vary in size and all yields are estimates, so an exact price is impossible to know before harvest. The table below shows example yields and costs to expect.

How does this compare to buying the same amount of Beef individually?

This amount would total approximately $2,655 if purchased individually and picked up at Rucker Farm. An average yield ½ Beef offers a 10-15% savings!
